Kenya’s Meetings Incentives Conference and Events (MICE) players have joined the industry professionals at the ongoing Imex 2019 event in Frankfurt,Germany.

IMEX is the most important trade exhibition in Germany for meetings, conventions, events and incentive travel. It attracts all types of service providers who have something to offer for events such as hotels, incentive and event agencies, convention centers, meeting and conference.

Kenya ‘s mice bureau, the kenya International convention centre(KICC) along with private sector players are hoping to network and grow the east Africa’s country’s competitiveness in the meetings business.

With its strategic location in the region, the KICC wants to use that as a trump card for its to attracting major events and conferences to the country.

The team is seeking to position Kenya as a key Meetings & business events especially considering its strategic location, world class hotels, fast & reliable internet connectivity, a thriving business environment and numerous air connections to numerous destinations around the world.

The Kenya delegation is led by Nana Gecaga, CEO Kenyatta International Conference Centre.The delegation comprises of KICC – Convention Centre, Ministry of Tourism officials, Zuri Events – PCO,Safaripark Hotel,Radisson Blu-Nairobi,Heritage Hotel, and Intercontinental Hotel.

This year’s event has assembled over 3500 exhibitors and 5000 buyers drawn from over 160 countries. Among visitors are primarily event planners from agencies, various companies and associations as well as business travel managers and marketing managers that are responsible for the planning of events.
