Côte d’Ivoire: New Tourism Boss named

Dr Germain Aphing Kouassi has been appointed as the Director General of Côte d’Ivoire Tourisme.

He replaces Jean Marie Sommet who was reassigned by the government to the Minisyry of Finance as director of economic diplomacy.

Dr Aphing Kouassi has been in the Tourism Ministry for decades and acted in different capacities. He spent seven years as the Director of Cabinet at the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure.

He is an experienced tourism administrator and commands respect in the country’s tourism sector.
