The newly opened Radisson OR Tambo hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa has treated some of the country’s top influencers to a special pamper and wellness day at the property.

The “bleisure” hotel offered influencers the first-hand opportunity to experience the first upscale Radisson property in SA. The day was strongly focused on work life balance to help influencers and the public understand the values and ethos of the hotel.

The social influencers, numbering 14 and including LVMH award winner Thebe Magugu, had a fun filled day exploring the facilities and interacting with hotel staff.

On arrival at the hotel, they were treated to a milkshake tasting experience before checking in. In their rooms, they found goodie bags, branded balloons and printed sticky notes. Their bags also included the day’s itinerary and an indulgent pack from Amani Spas.

The first item on the itinerary was a “Wellness and Watermelons” event in the beautiful poolside garden. A pop-up Amani Spa, picnic blankets and sunny skies greeted them downstairs.

The hotel also arranged fruit, juice shots and snacks around the water feature. After pool time the party moved to the gin bar and food pairing arranged by Executive Chef, Darshan Chetty. This flowed into an interactive dinner where guests mingled, taking pictures and vlogs.

Finally, the night came to a close with a sweet treat laid out in the executive lounge on the 5th floor. After breakfast the next morning the guests embraced the Radisson work-life balance and worked from the hotel.

“We believe strongly in influencer marketing and we feel proud to rally around esteemed members of the community who are forging the way in business, lifestyle and social media.” says head of Marketing and PR, Frances Litten. The Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre Johannesburg, O.R. Tambo has pledged to support local influencers, bloggers, and rising stars. The event was also covered by Glamour, GQ and House & Garden.
