#WorldTourismDay: Jamboree greets Caravan stops in Ivorien towns

A fiesta and a rousing atmosphere received the World Tourism Day Caravan in dozen Ivorien cities ahead of tourism’s big day to be celebrated in Cote d’ivoire’s capital of Abidjan.

Led by the Country’s Minister of Tourism and Leisure Siandou Fofana, the caravan launched as part of prelude activities of this year’s global celebrations of the World Tourism Day to be hosted by the West African country.

The caravan which was launched to travel through the length and breadth of Cote d’Ivoire is to make stops in 15 towns and cities. It has already made stops at places such as Bondoukou and is continuing to town and cities including, Tiassalé, Divo, Gagnoa, Soubré, San-Pédro and Abidjan.

The activities reflected this year’s theme ‘’tourism for inclusive growth.’’ It gathered all segments of the Ivorian society and the pomp and pageantry which greeted the event was a testament of Cote d’Ivoire’s quest to stage a magnificent event in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
