The Maldives aka the Sunny Side of Life is an archipelago consisting of 1,190+ tiny isles, famed for its breathtaking islands with white-gold sandy beaches, palm trees, green foliage, mangrove systems, and more. Our islands are surrounded by aqua lagoons, and blue-on-blue oceans abundant with life and rich ecosystems. The consecutive winner of the World’s Leading Destination title twice (2020 & 2021), the Maldives is often described as a paradise on earth renowned for service excellence in the hospitality industry across the globe, with sustainability at its core.

On arrival, VISA is available for all tourists from any country in the world. Effective from March 13th, 2022, a Covid-19 PCR is not mandatory to enter the Maldives. However, visitors must have a confirmed booking at a registered tourist facility while a Traveller Declaration must be filled in and submitted 96 hours before their travel to the Maldives. For more information on visas, and travel guidelines please follow this link.

There are several airports in the Maldives, of which four are international. The main gateway to the country is Velana International Airport, located on Hulhule island. Over 35 international airlines operate to VIA connecting the world to the Maldives. Travel for South Africa and travellers from the wider African continent to the Maldives has been eased with the launching of weekly flights via Air Seychelles to the Maldives. They operate flights between Johannesburg-Male every Saturday. The Maldives also boasts the world’s largest seaplane fleet, giving tourists the perfect aerial views of our isles when getting to their chosen property.

The destination offers four major products (resorts, guesthouses, hotels and liveaboards), providing budget to luxury accommodation options catering to different segments of tourists, from honeymooners, couples, and families, to the adventurous thrill-seekers or even business travellers. Our resorts are based on the “one-island-one-resort” concept providing unparalleled privacy on uninhabited islands with relaxation and adventure at its core. Our boutique guest houses/hotels are on inhabitant islands, allowing tourists to live and experience the culture, tradition, and slow-paced lifestyle of Maldivians.

Experiences in the Maldives for tourists can be curated to suit your mood, need, and desire. We may live the slow life but your itineraries can be filled with fast-paced thrilling activities such as diving, snorkelling, canoe rides, jet ski rides, parasailing. Similarly, you could choose to go swimming with the majestic and gentle beasts of the ocean. Maldives also offers more relaxing activities such as spa and wellness treatments, dinners and movies under the stars. Visitors are encouraged to soak up the sun, sipping a drink while lounging by an infinity pool, having a picnic on a private island, staying in a bubble tent, going night fishing with local folks. The choices are many, and the only factor that matters is making your dream vacation a reality!
