In October this year, Kenya will open its doors to welcome thousands to another edition of Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE). After a brief absence due to COVID-19, East Africa’s biggest tourism and travel trade expo will return at full throttle.

This follows the hugely successful virtual edition in 2021. In a few weeks’ time, MKTE22 will bring the travel trade together once again for face-to-face meetings in Nairobi.

The hosts, Kenya Tourism Board says, as always, “we welcome our partners from across the East African region to join the expo, to meet with the passionate hosted buyers from key source markets, and to share our passion of driving tourism to Africa.”

As the theme, “Rediscover the Magic” succinctly states, MKTE22 will offer participants a unique opportunity to re-engage and reconnect with those who matter in the industry while creating the platform to explore new business opportunities and relationships.

Various talk sessions and panel discussions will offer much-needed insights from experts and industry players on how they have navigated the new normal and what ought to be done to keep the tourism and travel wheels running to full recovery. The Business to Business (B2B) sessions guarantee an exciting three days of pre-scheduled appointments supported by dynamic meeting concierge team.

“Our appointment system between exhibitors and hosted buyers is instrumental in driving business discussions and we’re pleased to continue offering you this dynamic meeting tool,” organisers assure.
MKTE22 is expected to feature at least 200 exhibitors from East and Southern Africa and 150 global buyers from Kenya’s key source markets.

The Expo is also an invitation for patrons to sample and taste Kenya as a multi-experiential destination offering unique, diverse, and authentic travel experiences spread across the country and guaranteeing year-round magic. Through the pre-event familiarization trips, hosted buyers and media will get to travel to the length of breadth of the country on sightseeing, basking in the adventure and immersing themselves in the many rich cultures of the East African country.

The Magical Kenya Travel Expo is scheduled for 5-7 October, 2022 in Nairobi and for those who are willing and ready to attend, it’s a big JAMBO to Magical Kenya!
