South Africa is hoping to attract more exhibitors and buyers for this year’s Meetings Africa which is set for February 28 – March 1.

Zinhle Nzama, the Acting Chief Convention Bureau Officer at the South African National Convention Bureau said during a media launch of Meetings Africa 2023 earlier today, that with growing interest from industry stakeholders in the continent, they expect to see more numbers this year.

“Last year, we had Meetings Africa under some COVID-19 restrictions, which hindered us from having the show at full scale. But we still managed to host a successful show with 161 buyers and 216 exhibitors from 13 African countries.

“This year, we are targeting 350 exhibitors, that is 350 businesses from the continent who will bring their products to the show. These exhibitors will be coming from 20 African countries, truly representing the continent and its diversity.

“From a buyer perspective, we are also targeting 350 buyers. So far, we have buyer representation from 45 countries. This is indicative of the interest the world has in Africa,” she emphasized.

Meetings Africa is one of the biggest business event trade shows in Africa which brings together business owners from the continent, to come and showcase their products and experiences to buyers from across the world.

Essentially, it provides an opportunity to facilitate business transactions aimed at advancing the continent.
As always, the show will be preceded by a Business Opportunity Networking Day for knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer, through education and talks from industry thought leaders.

Meetings Africa will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
