Tourism Seychelles recently made a notable appearance at the 2024 edition of the esteemed Travel & Adventure Show in Atlanta, USA. Held in early March, this exhibition marked a strategic step by Tourism Seychelles to fortify its marketing efforts in the USA, aiming to amplify the flow of North American tourists to the captivating archipelago.

Representing the destination were Natacha Servina, Senior Marketing Executive for the Americas, and Gretel Banane, Marketing Executive, both based at the Tourism Seychelles headquarters.

With a rich history spanning over 19 years and boasting more than 118 successful events, the Travel & Adventure Show stands as a premier platform linking over 2.5 million travel enthusiasts, 15,000 unique Travel Advisors, and numerous travel media professionals with over 4,500 exhibitors from around the globe. This influential event has significantly contributed to over $6 billion in travel bookings, firmly establishing its position as a cornerstone of the travel industry.

Centred around leisure and experiential travel, the series of events produced by the Travel & Adventure Show span nine major Designated Market Areas (DMAs) across the United States. Over time, this show has evolved into the most significant travel event in the USA, attracting marketers keen on engaging with consumers and travel agents alike.
Mrs Servina underlined the importance of maintaining Seychelles’ visibility in North America, stating that visibility gained at such events is crucial to ensuring that the North American market stays in the top 10 best-performing markets for Seychelles.

“As one of the premier consumers shows for tourism and leisure in North America, this event stands out as the ultimate destination for holidaymakers seeking the latest travel trends and new destinations. For smaller destinations like Seychelles, participating in events like the Travel & Adventure Show is essential. It provides an ideal platform to seize tangible business opportunities. Over two busy days at the event, we have seen increased interest in our destination. We have also had the opportunity of engaging in some wonderful meetings with individuals who have visited Seychelles and expressed their absolute love for their experience there,” said Mrs Servina.

Seychelles’ active participation in the Travel & Adventure Show 2024 underscores its commitment to engaging with the North American market and its unwavering dedication to positioning itself as a premier choice for travellers seeking unique and enriching experiences.
