Mozambique’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the National Institute of Tourism, will organise the 10th edition of FIKANI Mozambique, the International Tourism Fair, taking place from August 8th to 11th at the Mozambique-China Cultural Centre.

This year’s event, themed “Tourism: Tool for Economic Development and Social Transformation”, aims to highlight the crucial role of tourism in fostering economic growth and improving quality of life.

The chosen theme underscores the travel and tourism industry’s potential to drive economic development, create job opportunities, and provide academic and professional training. It also emphasises the industry’s ability to offer leisure activities that enhance the quality of life for all members of society.

The fair is set to attract over 6,500 visitors, both national and international, with more than 220 exhibitors and 145 stands showcasing a wide array of products and services. These will include offerings from the hotel, catering, entertainment and travel agency sectors.

The 10th edition of FIKANI Mozambique promises to be a significant event in the country’s calendar, serving as a vibrant showcase for Mozambique’s cultural and tourism assets. It offers a unique platform for both local and international exhibitors to explore business opportunities within the tourism sector and celebrates the rich diversity of Mozambican culture.

FIKANI Mozambique 2024 will feature a diverse range of programmes, including: Vehicle exhibition for tourism, Art exhibitions, National cuisine tasting, Film screenings and Musical performances.

This edition also introduces several new attractions: Photo Exhibition which is intended to highlight remarkable moments in Mozambique’s tourism over the past decade and the Corner Palmilhar Mozambique which offers services and packages from air, railway, river and land carriers, enhancing connectivity for tourist products.
