Setting the stage for the 13th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, which will be held on the island of Mahé in Seychelles in May 2025, Tourism Seychelles launched an exclusive promotional stunt at Wembley Stadium in London, one of the world’s most iconic soccer arenas.

The advert, set to roll out at 3 pm London time on Saturday, August 10th, during the high-traffic hour of the highly anticipated 102nd FA Community Shield match between 2023–24 Premier League champions Manchester City and the 2023–24 FA Cup winners Manchester United, featured the vibrant destination logo, revamped in 2022 by Tourism Seychelles.

The logo depicts a flying freedom bird, with its tail slightly more tilted downwards than the previous design, in the destination’s brand colours of blue, aqua, green, yellow and red, and accompanied by the typeface headline, ‘The Seychelles Islands Another World’.

The captivating imagery was accompanied by a compelling message inviting soccer fans to explore the islands’ unique offerings, from adventure and relaxation to rich cultural experiences. This strategic initiative aims to capture the attention of both in-person spectators and millions of viewers watching televised broadcasts and enhance the visibility of Seychelles as a premier travel destination, reaching millions of passionate sports fans globally ahead of the 2025 beach soccer events.

The advert presented Seychelles with a distinctive opportunity to elevate the destination’s visibility and highlight its unmatched natural splendor.

“This partnership presents an extraordinary opportunity to bring Seychelles to the forefront of the global stage. We have taken the opportunity of this premium event to ensure that Seychelles is visible to a vast audience. We are confident that this exposure will resonate with travellers who seek a destination that offers both tranquillity and excitement,” said Mrs Bernadette Willemin, Director General for Destination Marketing at Tourism Seychelles.

This initiative is a key part of Seychelles’ broader strategy to leverage sports as a vehicle for tourism promotion. By associating the destination with the excitement and passion of soccer, Seychelles aims to attract a diverse range of travellers, including sports enthusiasts, families, and luxury seekers for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Mahé during 01st -11th May next year.
