Seychelles will once again be strongly represented at the World Travel Market (WTM) 2024, taking place at London’s ExCeL Exhibition Centre from Tuesday, November 5 to Thursday, November 7, 2024.

A strong delegation, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, will attend this prestigious 44th edition of the business-to-business travel and tourism show, a key event for global travel professionals.

The main mission of the Seychelles delegation will be to showcase the destination and inspire prospective travellers from across the globe to visit the islands. The group will include Mrs. Bernadette Willemin, Director General for Destination Marketing; Ms. Karen Confait, Tourism Seychelles’ Director for the United Kingdom (UK) market; Mrs. Ingride Asante, Marketing Executive; and Mrs. Tracey Manathunga from the Customer Services unit at Tourism Seychelles headquarters.

Seven local partners representing Seychelles’ travel trade will join the Tourism Seychelles team, including a representative from the Seychelles Hospitality and Tourism Association. The delegation will also include representatives from prominent Destination Management Companies (DMCs) such as 7° South, Creole Travel Services, and Mason’s Travel, as well as properties like Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas, Hilton Hotels Seychelles, STORY Seychelles, and Fisherman’s Cove Resort.

The three-day event will offer opportunities for participants to engage with potential customers and hold business-to-business meetings with international buyers.

In anticipation of WTM 2024, Mrs. Willemin shared, “WTM remains a must-attend event for Seychelles as a small tourism destination. Through our participation, we set the tone for the coming year. The UK market is steadily regaining its position on our visitor arrival charts, and 2024 has already seen a significant increase in the number of UK travellers. We want to ensure that this year’s participation leads to even greater engagement with our trade partners and helps us capture the hearts of British and international visitors at WTM. Seychelles has so much to offer UK travellers, and I am confident they will be highly receptive to our unique offerings and the undeniable charms of our destination. The rendezvous is set for our partners to join us at WTM in Hall N11, stand number N11-515.”

Mrs Willemin emphasised that the Seychelles delegation is ready to make the most of WTM 2024, reinforcing its presence on the world stage and continuing to promote Seychelles as a leading travel destination.
