Clay House, the first project under the modern hospitality brand Husk Collection, made its grand debut in Maitama, Abuja, with an elegant soft launch that left guests captivated. Embracing the tagline “Luxury Hospitality Redefined,” the event marked a fresh chapter in upscale hospitality, offering an inviting and modern space for relaxation and discovery.

The evening was a celebration of style and sophistication, graced by an esteemed guest list including the Honourable Minister, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu; Chief Executive Officer/Director General of SMEDAN, Charles O. Odii; Honourable Members of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon.Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao Akala, Hon. David Agada Ogewu, Hon. Philip Agbese, and Hon. Muktar Tolani Shagaya; and acclaimed artist Sor Sen, whose breathtaking works are proudly exhibited within the hotel, as thoughtfully curated by the ArtNG team.

Adesuwa Belo-Osagie, CEO and Co-founder of Husk Collection, shared her vision for Clay House:Clay House is more than a boutique hotel—it’s a sanctuary in the heart of the city. From luxurious suites to cozy studio rooms, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to help guests unwind, explore, and connect. Guests can bask in the sunlight by the pool, enjoy intimate dining at the Clay Restaurant, or indulge in signature cocktails and mocktails crafted by skilled mixologists at the Clay Bar. The café offers a tranquil space for quiet reflection or casual meetings, while the art gallery corner, curated by ArtNG, features inspiring pieces that spark creativity.

At Clay House, we aim to redefine hospitality with an experience that feels deeply personal. It’s a place where returning guests find familiar comforts awaiting them—a true home away from home in Abuja. This is our vision: a haven for relaxation, discovery, and personalized luxury and convenience.

The picturesque setting of the event showcased two stairways elegantly draped with vibrant orange and white floral arrangements, complemented by a photo booth where guests captured unforgettable moments, guiding guests to the poolside oasis. Here, lush sofas and plush pillows created an inviting ambiance. Guests were treated to exquisite cocktails and canapés.

The night culminated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by the Honourable Minister, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, followed by an exclusive property tour showcasing Clay House’s thoughtfully designed rooms and suites. The art gallery corner, curated by ArtNG, was a highlight, receiving admiration from guests for its curated selection of artworks by renowned artist, Sor-Sen.Reflecting on the success of the event, Belo-Osagie said: The soft launch of Clay House was an absolute success. We were deeply honored to welcome such distinguished guests, and the feedback we’ve received has been incredibly affirming. From the design to the facilities, everyone had wonderful things to say about their experience. It was a joy to see our vision come to life and to hear guests express their excitement about returning to Clay House.

This event was also a celebration of the dedicated team behind it. Every detail, from the cocktails and décor to the welcoming atmosphere, was crafted with love and care. I’m immensely proud of the work we’ve done and deeply grateful to everyone who allowed us to host them. This is only the beginning, and we look forward to creating even more unforgettable experiences.
