As the curtains fell on the 7th edition of Seychelles Fashion Week last month, preparations are already underway for the 2025 installment, set to take place from November 24th to 30th. With its commitment to blending culture, creativity, and tourism, Seychelles Fashion Week has firmly established itself as a premier platform for celebrating fashion excellence against one of the world’s most picturesque backdrops.

The 2024 edition, held at Eden Bleu Hotel, brought together 16 designers and 40 models from across the globe, showcasing innovative designs that celebrated both local heritage and international craftsmanship. For the first time, the event introduced awards sponsored by Creole Travel Services, recognizing the outstanding achievements of participants:

– Best Young Designers: Evaline Cushion and Fazila Ernesta.
– Best Local Designer: Cam Art, whose creations bridged traditional Seychellois art and contemporary fashion.
– Best International Designer: Cheng Cheng Yang, whose designs exuded sophistication.
– Best Models: Yustra Ah Kong from La Digue and Talent Mthimkhulu from South Africa.

With the support of sponsors like ISPC, Bottega, Creole Travel Services, and SOEZI, the 2024 edition reaffirmed Seychelles as a nexus for global fashion innovation and a unique destination for creative tourism.

Next year’s Seychelles Fashion Week aims to elevate its standing as a must-attend event for the international fashion and tourism communities. Organizers plan to expand participation, inviting a wider range of designers and fostering collaboration between fashion and tourism industries. The event will also focus on building sustainable practices within fashion, reflecting Seychelles’ broader environmental commitments.

The 2025 edition promises an even more diverse showcase of talent, blending cutting-edge innovation with the cultural richness that Seychelles is known for. For the tourism industry, this presents an opportunity to position Seychelles as not just a destination for relaxation but also as a global stage for creative expression.

Seychelles Fashion Week plays a pivotal role in shaping the island’s narrative as a creative and cultural hub. It offers tourists a chance to experience Seychelles beyond its renowned beaches, immersing them in its artistic and cultural identity. For the tourism industry, the event amplifies the islands’ global appeal and boosts local businesses that thrive on the influx of international guests.

As preparations for the 2025 edition unfold, the Seychelles Fashion Week team invites the world to be part of this celebration of creativity, culture, and sustainable tourism. Mark your calendars and join the conversation that’s reshaping fashion tourism in the Indian Ocean.
