Radisson Resorts Mauritius has appointed Sheila Moothoo Curpen as its new Cluster Commercial Director, strengthening the group’s commercial leadership as it advances its growth ambitions across local and international markets.

In her new role, Curpen will oversee the commercial performance of the group’s properties in Mauritius, leading sales, marketing and partnership development while shaping the brand’s commercial strategy. The appointment comes as Radisson Resorts Mauritius continues to expand its market presence and enhance its competitiveness in one of the Indian Ocean’s leading tourism destinations.

Curpen brings extensive experience in hospitality sales, marketing and commercial management. Throughout her career, she has established a strong track record of driving commercial performance, building strategic partnerships and delivering sustainable business growth. Her appointment reflects the group’s focus on strengthening its commercial operations through experienced leadership.

Her responsibilities will include aligning commercial initiatives across the resort portfolio, strengthening relationships with trade partners and positioning the Radisson brand to capture opportunities in both established and emerging source markets. The role will also support efforts to increase the visibility of Mauritius among international travellers while delivering value for guests and industry partners.

For Mauritius, where tourism remains a key pillar of the economy, commercial leadership within the hospitality sector plays an important role in sustaining destination competitiveness. Hotels are increasingly expected to work closely with travel trade partners, destination marketing organizations and distribution platforms to respond to changing traveller preferences and evolving market dynamics.

Curpen’s appointment reflects Radisson Resorts Mauritius’ continued investment in leadership that supports long-term commercial growth while contributing to the destination’s wider tourism objectives. As the group implements its commercial priorities, attention will focus on strengthening market partnerships, expanding brand visibility and enhancing the guest experience across its Mauritian portfolio.

The appointment marks another step in Radisson Resorts Mauritius’ efforts to consolidate its presence in the destination, with experienced commercial leadership expected to support both business performance and the continued appeal of Mauritius in the global tourism marketplace.
