Hospitality Awards Africa, one of the continent’s leading platforms celebrating excellence and innovation in hospitality and tourism, will hold its 2026 edition in Lagos, Nigeria, on 24 October 2026.
The prestigious awards ceremony will take place at the Sheraton Lagos Hotel, Ikeja, bringing together leading hoteliers, restaurateurs, tourism professionals, investors, policymakers and industry pioneers from across Africa.
The 2026 edition marks another significant chapter in the evolution of the awards, which began in Ghana and were successfully hosted there for six consecutive years. In 2025, the awards expanded beyond Ghana for the first time, travelling to Lomé, Togo, where the ceremony was hosted at the prestigious Hotel 2 Février.
The move to Lagos further underscores the organisers’ ambition to position Hospitality Awards Africa as a truly Pan-African platform for recognising the people and institutions driving the continent’s hospitality and tourism sectors forward.
Lagos, Nigeria’s economic powerhouse and one of Africa’s most influential business and tourism destinations, provides a fitting setting for the 2026 edition. The city’s vibrant hospitality ecosystem, expanding tourism industry and international business profile make it an ideal meeting point for industry leaders from across the continent.
Under the theme “Recognizing Excellence. Celebrating Achievement. Inspiring the Future,” Hospitality Awards Africa 2026 will go beyond celebrating individual and institutional accomplishments. It is expected to serve as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, partnership building and conversations around the future direction of African hospitality.

The ceremony will recognise outstanding contributions across the hospitality and tourism value chain, while providing an opportunity for industry stakeholders to connect, share experiences and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Organisers say the event represents more than an awards ceremony, describing it as a distinguished gathering of Africa’s hospitality leaders and changemakers united by a shared commitment to excellence and the continued growth of the continent’s tourism and hospitality industries.
With its journey from Ghana to Togo and now Nigeria, Hospitality Awards Africa is increasingly reflecting the interconnected nature of Africa’s hospitality sector and the growing importance of collaboration across national borders.
Hospitality Awards Africa is a Ninety Degrees event.
