[Photos]: Opening day of maiden West Africa Food Festival

The inaugural West Africa Food Festival, WAFFEST opened earlier in Ghana’s capital, Accra with an inter-chefs competition featuring chefs from Togo, Benin, Ghana and Liberia battling it out to for superiority in the culinary arena.

Present at the event were a host of dignitaries including, the CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwasi Agyemang, whose outfit supported the event, President of the Ghana Tourism Federation, Mrs. Bella Ahu and some traditional authorities.

The rest are students, and guest chefs from Azerbaijan and South Africa with the Chefs Association of Ghana also present.

There was also exhibition of local handicrafts, food and drinks which were sampled by participants.
