Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Tourism & Wildlife, Najib Balala has lauded the inclusion of wildlife in the newly-launched Kenyan currency.

He said the new-look currency launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta “embodies the values of Kenyans and is in line with the government’s commitment to grow tourism by protecting our wildlife, environment and culture. “

CS Balala added ”the images of our wildlife should serve as a daily reminder that our wildlife is an integral part of the Kenyan DNA. A reminder of our responsibility to immortalize them and preserve them for future generations.”
