Kigali’s state of the art conference facility the Intare conference complex has aggressive plans to double its figures for 2019.

Having been established in June 2017 and spurred by the overall vision of the Government of Rwanda’s desire to grow the MICE industry and to make the Kigali a conference hub, the 2500 capacity conference arena is determined to bring in events to the East African country.

Speaking to VoyagesAfriq Travel Media in Kigali, The Managing Director of the facility Rubingisa Pudence revealed that with barely two years in existence, it has been able to attract some high level events to the country and only needs to accelerate efforts to compliment the efforts of the Rwanda Convention Bureau.

Our target for the year is to have 62 events at the conference arena (auditorium) 225 small meetings and over 20 weddings and receptions for this year.’’

He however admitted that, the arena’s marketing efforts could be improved to create the necessary awareness for the conference facility.
