Onomo Hotels, the fast growing 3 star group in Africa and already present in Dakar, Abidjan, Libreville, Bamako, Conakry, Lome, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Kigali, Rabat, Casablanca, has confirmed that they are on course to open two more hotels this year.

The first one will be in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, before later this year Dar es Salaam will follow, the latter likely to become the group’s largest hotel yet.

The company also confirmed to ATCNews that they are very much going ahead with the planned launch of their brand in Kampala / Uganda but also in Addis Ababa and in Nairobi, among other locations in anglophone Africa.

The arrival in these respective cities will no doubt ruffle many feathers among the existing three star hotels, as quality locations, quality rooms and facilities and importantly quality management will give ‘Jua Kali’ operations not just a run for their money but show that three star hotels can tick many boxes for travelers without having to compromise on quality while enjoying significantly lower tariffs.

Entry rates start from as low as 59 Euros for a single room at the Onomo in Durban and rise to 100 Euros for the hotels in Rabat and Bamako while their hotel in Cape Town has an entry rate of 80 Euros per single per night.
The Onomo Hotel in Kigali has entry rates from as low as 67 Euros, making it increasingly a location of choice for savvy travelers to the Rwanda capital. Rates, depending on season, are subject to rise.
