Malawi has launched a redesigned tourism website.

www.malawitourism.com was first set up 20 years ago and has developed over the last two decades into the country’s leading online portal for potential visitors.

Produced by members of Malawi’s tourist industry with a focus on international visitors, the site features content from lodges, hotels and tour and safari companies. It contains information on all the locations and experiences in the country, interlinking pages, maps and an up-to-date Travel Guide section (with the new Visa Checker) and full directory listings for all types of tourism operators in the country, as well as international tour operators selling holidays to Malawi.

The new accommodation filter allows users to search Malawi’s primary accommodation by a variety of criteria – enabling them to find full details about the properties. On the new accommodation pages, each property has a large format gallery, map, price guide, full contacts, built-in enquiry forms, and their What3Words address to enable their location to be pin-pointed.

The new website is mobile-friendly, fully responsive and compatible across all devices.

Kelly White, Director of Geo Group, which carries out international marketing for the Malawi Travel Marketing Consortium, said: “The new site has been developed using the latest technologies and, after extensive consultation, analysis of current user expectations and detailed planning, to ensure that the best and most effective tourism site was created for Malawi.”
