Growing from strength to strength, World Travel Market Africa continues to go the extra mile in delivering innovation and the latest trends to the travel and tourism industry. With its promise of being even bigger and better, the 7th edition of WTM Africa has already confirmed incredible content sessions and conferences.

For 2020, WTM Africa is thrilled to introduce ‘EQUAL Africa in partnership with IGLTA’ to the show floor. EQUAL Africa stands for EQUAL Love, Rights, Experiences & Opportunities. This new LGBTQ Travel event will be a bolt-on, full-day conference on 6 April 2020.

Next year’s event also marks the debut of the ASATA Travel Agents’ Academy in Partnership with WTM Africa. The event will take place 8 April 2020 in the Destination Theatre and forms part of the ASATA Professionals’ Program (APP). Entrance to the program is free of charge (with pre-registration) and comprises four 45-minute content sessions which will cover topics that are core to Travel Agents’ operations on a daily basis. Attendance will also guarantee participants 20 of the 50 points required for APP graduation.

The ever-popular Official Networking evening, which gives WTM Africa attendees the chance to let their hair down and network in a more informal setting, will be taking place at Shimmy Beach Club in 2020. Set on the edge of Cape Town’s vibrant harbour and with the breath-taking Table Mountain as its backdrop, Shimmy Beach Club is Cape Town’s premier ocean-front dining and lifestyle venue. The WTM Africa team is looking forward to welcoming its exhibitors and hosted buyers to this sophisticated, slick and stylish venue of one of the most hotly-anticipated events on the #WTMA20 schedule.

The vibrant WTM Africa Festivals give attendees the opportunity to indulge all five senses in immersive, destination-oriented experiences on the event floor after traditional working hours. Expect unique cuisine, dazzling drinks and a slice of local culture to get a different sense of approximately 800 participating exhibitors’ offerings.

Attendees can also look forward to other trending topics and content shares by over 150 speakers from around the globe, in six different theatres, on the show floor. Follow us on facebook.com/wtmafrica/and @wtm_africa on Instagram & Twitter to get updates, as they happen.
