Zimbabwe’s Tourism fraternity was thrown into a state of mourning when the news of the demise of African Sun Hotel’s Karen Dhliwayo was confirmed on the last day of 2020.

The late Karen Dhliwayo was the Group head of Public Relations, Marketing, and Innovation at African Sun Hotels.

Karen was a consummate marketing professional and had an excellent record working for a number of Zimbabwean brands including Chibuku Zimbabwe & Zambia, SPAR Zimbabwe amongst others.

The Hotel chain later confirmed Karen succumbed to death after a period of a short illness.

She is to be interred tomorrow at the Glen Forest Cemetery in Zimbabwe.

VoyagesAfriq had on several occasions engaged with her with our last meeting on last year’s meeting Africa.

Our condolence to African sun hotels and Zimbabwe.
