South Africa: Lindiwe Sisulu replaces Mmamoloko as Tourism Minister

South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa has named veteran politician Lindiwe Nonceba Sisulu as the rainbow nation’s new Minister of Tourism.

She replaces Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane who has been re-assigned as minister for Human Settlement.

Ms. Sisulu who until this latest announcement was the minister of Human Settlements, Water & Sanitation.

She has been a long-standing member of Parliament for ANC and has served as minister in half a dozen portfolios including being the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation.

Sisulu will be expected to continue the recovery process started by her predecessor.

Lindiwe Nonceba Sisulu (born 10 May 1954) is a South African politician, member of parliament since 1994, serving as Minister of Tourism since August 2021 and member of the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress.

She served before as Minister of Housing (2004 to 2009), Minister of Defence and Military Veterans (2009 to 2012), was the Minister of Public Service and Administration from 2012 to 2014. and was Minister of Human Settlements, Water & Sanitation from 2014 to 2021.
