In a bid to cultivate a thriving hospitality community in Ghana, the Hospitality Alliance of Ghana marked a significant milestone with its inaugural event, “Nutritional Journeys with Teens – Chocolate,” hosted at Achimota Senior High School.
The event, which was a precursor to the official launch of the Alliance saw over 300 enthusiastic students immersing themselves in the world of culinary and pastry making skills using chocolate.
Facilitated by seasoned chefs from the Alliance, the event aimed to not only showcase the delectable possibilities of chocolate but also provide hands-on experience to the students, fostering a passion for culinary arts.
In a speech delivered by Joe Wilson-Tetteh, the President of the Hospitality Alliance of Ghana. In his address, he expressed his pleasure at witnessing a long-held dream become a reality and thanked colleagues in the hospitality industry for their support.
Wilson-Tetteh took the opportunity to elucidate the vision and mission of the Hospitality Alliance of Ghana, emphasising the organisation’s commitment to cultivating excellence, professionalism, and nurturing young talent in the hospitality sector. The vision is to position Ghana’s hospitality community as a global leader, while the mission involves elevating industry standards through comprehensive education, training and mentorship programs for aspiring professionals.
“As we embark on this journey, let us remember the core values that define us: excellence, professionalism and a commitment to nurturing young talent. Together, we will pave the way for a brighter future for Ghana’s hospitality industry,” remarked Wilson-Tetteh.
The president announced the Alliance’s commitment to being actively involved with industry stakeholders, providing support, and fostering collaboration to contribute to a more professional hospitality industry in Ghana.
To encapsulate the essence of the Alliance in three words, Wilson-Tetteh stated, “We affiliate, accentuate, and affirm,” underscoring the organisation’s dedication to collaboration, highlighting excellence and reaffirming its commitment to nurturing talent.
With the success of the “Nutritional Journeys with Teens – Chocolate” event, the Hospitality Alliance of Ghana looks forward to undertaking more endeavours that will positively impact the growth and reputation of the hospitality industry in the country.
