Rwanda’s Kwita Izina 2024 postponed

Kwita Izina, the flagship Gorilla naming ceremony held in Rwanda has been postponed for this year.

The 2024 edition had been scheduled for October 18 and as has been the tradition, was expected to draw Rwandans and global icons to one of the world’s most popular Gorilla conservation events.

In a statement released by the Rwanda Development Board, a new date “for the iconic Gorilla naming ceremony will communicated.”
