President John Mahama has named Dzifa Abla Gomashie as minister-designate for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts.

The Ketu South Member of Parliament brings a wealth of experience to the role having served as the portfolio’s Deputy Minister under the first Mahama administration.

Following vetting and confirmation by Parliament, Gomashie is expected to lead Ghana’s fledgling tourism and creative arts sector which continue to see a rise in recent years on the heels of the hugely ‘Year of Return’ and ‘Beyond the Return’ initiatives.
