The Tour Operators Union of Ghana (TOUGHA) is making an appearance at the 4th Z-Summit Tourism & B2B Expo in Zanzibar, Tanzania, marking the first time the organisation has participated in the island’s flagship tourism trade show. The event runs from February 11 to 12, 2026, at SUZA University, Tunguu, and will bring together industry leaders, investors, tour operators and travel professionals from across East Africa and the world.
President Yvonne Donkor is leading a delegation of more than 20 TOUGHA members to the summit, where Ghana’s tour operators will engage in a robust programme of exhibitions, plenary sessions, workshops, networking and strategy discussions. Some members will showcase their services at TOUGHA’s dedicated booth, while others participate as buyers, seeking partnerships and new business opportunities.
“We are thrilled to be part of Z-Summit for the first time,” Yvonne said. “This is a tremendous opportunity for Ghana’s tour operators to expand their networks, learn from global peers, and strengthen Ghana’s visibility as a key African travel destination. We look forward to forging meaningful collaborations that will boost tourism flows between Ghana, East Africa and beyond.”
Z-Summit 2026 is widely recognised as one of East Africa’s most strategic business-to-business networking platforms for the tourism industry. The two-day event attracts hundreds of registered buyers and exhibitors — including hotels, lodges, tour companies, airlines, tourism authorities and investors — for targeted B2B matchmaking, panel discussions, educational seminars and interactive workshops.
At its core, Z-Summit fosters industry collaboration and commercial partnership, offering exhibitors and buyers a structured environment to negotiate deals, explore market trends and share best practices.
“Engagement on this scale is invaluable,” Yvonne added. “Our members will not only showcase Ghana’s rich cultural and eco-tourism offerings but also immerse themselves in discussions about sustainable tourism development, digital transformation in travel services, and innovative product packaging — topics that are shaping the future of tourism across Africa.”
In addition to formal sessions at the summit, the TOUGHA delegation will embark on post-event tours of selected sites and attractions on Zanzibar Island, further strengthening professional ties and deepening their understanding of one of Africa’s most dynamic travel destinations.
