Under the fleet renewal and modernization journey, TAAG Angola Airlines has received today at Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (NBJ) in Luanda, a new Airbus A220-300, registration D2-TAL, which joins the national carrier’s fleet under a leasing arrangement.

This delivery marks the sixth A220-300 aircraft to join TAAG’s fleet and the second aircraft received during the first quarter of 2026.

The aircraft has a total seating capacity of 137 passengers, configured with 12 seats in Business Class and 125 seats in Economy Class, offering high standards of passenger comfort, operational efficiency, and improved environmental performance.

TAAG’s fleet renewal programme aims to enhance the airline’s competitiveness, further improve the passenger travel experience, and ensure higher levels of operational reliability and service quality.

The newly delivered A220-300, D2-TAL, will strengthen the airline’s overall flight schedule, with a particular focus on the regional network, supporting TAAG’s commitment to expanding intra-African connectivity and facilitating the mobility of people and business across key markets on the continent.

With the addition of another next-generation aircraft, TAAG Angola Airlines continues its transformation and sustainable growth journey, empowering its position as a leading African carrier and a strategic enabler of Angola’s air connectivity.
