Sanganai/Hlanganai World Tourism Expo set for a live return

The 15th Edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganai World Tourism Expo, one of the biggest tourism expos in Africa is gearing up for an in-person show this year after two-year hiatus.

The Expo will be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre from October 13-15. In 2020 Sanganai/Hlanganai was held virtually due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. In 2021 the Expo was a Hybrid event.

“The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority is excited about the events lined up for the duration of the Expo. Exhibitors, Buyers, Media, other stakeholders from the private and public sectors, and the general public, are in for a real treat. There will be Trees for Tourism Tree Planting session. The trees for tourism event/initiative will happen at two schools on 13 October 2022. The first school will be the Minister of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon N.M Ndhlovu’s former school, Insukumini Primary School in Njube. The second school will be Huge Beadle Primary School, 10ks from ZITF towards the statehouse. Each school will plant a total of 20 trees,” said Godfrey Koti Zimbabwe Tourism Authority’s Head Corporate Affairs.

The Buyers and Media Networking Cocktail will be held on the 13th of October while Sanganai/Hlanganani Official Opening, Sanganai/Hlanganani Awards Ceremony will be officiated by the Minister of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry on the following evening at the Museum of Natural History.

The Stables Party & Food Festival is on the 14th of October from 1830hours to 2300 hours at the Bulawayo Agricultural Stables.

The Sanganai/Hlanganani Family Fun Day is jam-packed with entertainment; the day will see three Zumba Sessions being held at the Coca-Cola Square. The first session is expected to kick off at 6AM for the early riser, followed by another session at 0800hours and the final one will be at 1000hours.

A Pop-Up Gin Fest featuring Live Bands and a Sanganai/Hlanganai Concert will bring the curtain down on Tourism Expo 2022, with a star-studded concert headlined by South African Award Winning artist, Big Zulu.

Dubbed Sanganai/Hlanganani Music Family Festival, the concert is slated for Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Main Arena. Organised by 3D Events Management in conjunction with Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, the family event starts from 12 noon until late.
