The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) is urging and encouraging Namibians to explore and travel around the country. The campaign is part of a revival strategy to aggressively promote domestic tourism and help Namibians discover the wonders and exciting offerings of the land of the brave.

This was revealed when the NTB held a media briefing with key stakeholders in Windhoek, the country’s capital. The Head of Marketing, Charmaine Mattheus addressing media and influencers said, as part of the activities, NTB will start with the hosting of local media and local influencers in the Central and East areas for familiarisation tours on the 11-18 March 2024.

‘’The platform is-created to allow local media and local influencers to promote Tourism in Namibia through coverage of positive experiences they will be engaged in by publishing and broadcasting various tourism products like the winery place, beautiful rugged mountains, rocks painting, surfing, cultural groups, landscapes, cuisines and accommodations’’ she said.

She added that, first hand experiences shared by the writers, and influencers on their respective platforms will help in encouraging the citizens to appreciate the beauty of the country and take advantage of the public holidays to visit.
