Seychelles made a significant impact at the 10th edition of the Salon du Prêt à Partir, held from August 23 to 25, 2024, at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre in Mauritius.

Representing Seychelles at the event were key partners Tirant Tours & Travel, Air Seychelles, and Tourism Seychelles. The Seychelles stand featured Mr. Salim Aniff Mohungoo, GSA Manager of Air Seychelles; Mrs. Jona Ladouce from the Tirant Tours & Travel (Pty) Ltd Sales Department; Ms. Cindy Tirant Director Tirant Tours & Travel (Pty) Ltd; and Ms. Bernadette Honore, Senior Marketing Executive for Réunion and the Indian Ocean at Tourism Seychelles.

Speaking at the event, the Senior Marketing Executive for Réunion and the Indian Ocean mentioned that Tourism Seychelles has once again solidified its presence at the Salon du Prêt à Partir. “We have reinforced our presence at the Salon du Prêt à Partir, tailoring our offerings based on past experiences and the expectations of travellers. With the collaboration of our airline partner and destination management companies, we have successfully addressed the demand for flights and holiday packages. We are delighted with the outcome, as our partners on the stand not only secured significant business for Seychelles during the three-day fair but also reaffirmed our destination’s visibility and reputation in the Mauritian market.”

For Tirant Tours & Travel, this year marked their debut at the Salon du Prêt à Partir. Mrs. Jona Ladouce expressed her enthusiasm about the event’s success. “Participating in the Salon du Prêt à Partir for the first time was an overwhelming experience. The demand and interest in Seychelles exceeded our expectations. We were thrilled to showcase our packages, with prices as low as MUR 57,000.00 for two persons for a five-night, six-day stay in Seychelles. The proximity of the two destinations, with just a two-hour flight, generated great interest among the Mauritian community. We are confident that for the next Salon we will be even better equipped with a wider selection of packages to meet the demands and market our products between our two islands. Overall, it was a fantastic fair!”

Air Seychelles, a key partner at the event, continues to play a pivotal role in connecting Mauritius with Seychelles, offering travellers convenient and affordable options to explore the beauty of the islands.

“Air Seychelles’ presence at the Salon du Pret a Partir for the second consecutive year bolsters our commitment to our operations between Mauritius and Seychelles. Our participation in this event was an opportune moment to showcase our services and products and also served as a means to capture the market with the ease of travel between the two islands, as we offer a hassle-free two-hour, direct flight.” says Sandy Benoiton, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles.

Ms. Honore extended her gratitude to all attendees and partners for their continuous support and looks forward to welcoming everyone back at next year’s edition of the Salon du Prêt à Partir.

The event, presented by Events Plus in collaboration with Le Défi Media Group and Radio Plus, and in partnership with Air Mauritius, is Mauritius’ most influential travel fair, offering exclusive discounts on plane tickets, cruises, holiday packages, and leisure activities.
