Tour Operators Union of Ghana (TOUGHA) have a made a donation to the Volta Home at Ve Deme.

The donation comprised detergents, sanitizers, nose masks, clothing items and an undisclosed amount of money and it was part of the union’s familiarization tour of the Volta and Oti Regions.

President of TOUGHA, Mrs. Alisa Osei-Asamoah said the union felt the need to extend a helping hand to the less privileged in the community they were visiting, hence the gesture.

“We believe in giving back to the communities we visit and so we try as much as possible to make a donation everywhere we go. We are just happy to able to help these children who need our assistance. This donation also ties into our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a union,” she emphasized.

The touring party was joined at the orphanage by the District Chief Executive of the Afadjato South District Assembly, James Etornam Flolu who commended them for the gesture and welcomed them to the area which is home to the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, Afadjato, Tagbo Falls among others.

In November last year, TOUGHA made similar donation to the Ashan Children’s Home during their tour of the Ashanti Region.
