RwandAir celebrates a decade of flying to Accra

RwandAir is today celebrating ten years of flying to Ghana’s capital Accra, having launched services in July 2013.

RwandAir operates the Boeing 737-800 between Kigali and Accra.

The airline offers customers four flights a week between Kigali and Accra, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Customers can choose from 154 seats across with 16 in Business Class and 138 in Economy Class.

Robert Okumu, RwandAir Country Manager Ghana, said: “RwandAir is proud to be celebrating such a significant anniversary serving our customers with flights to Accra for a decade.

“The Ghanaian market is very important to RwandAir, connecting the country to destinations across Africa, Europe, Asia and beyond through our hub in Kigali. It helps aid economic growth and connect families and friends.

“We look forward to serving Ghana for many more years to come and developing new markets for RwandAir as it expands its reach across Africa.”

The four-times-a-week service to Accra departs Kigali at 8:45 am arriving in Accra at 1:25 pm. On the return, customers can depart Accra between 2:25 pm and arrive back in Kigali at 9:25 pm.

RwandAir is renowned for its excellent on-time performance, customer service and safety. The airline also has a fleet of 13 aircraft including three wide-body Airbus A330s.
