Ahead of 2024 opening, Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island conducts tour for media

The Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island has conducted a tour for selected members of the international travel media in the Seychelles Island.
 
A Hilton Luxury Brand which is set to open on 31st January 2024, briefed the media on the remarkable progress of the property, which is based on Platte Island. 
 
The property will become the first Waldorf Astoria property in Seychelles.

The team explained in detail some of the activities that the property will be offering to its guests when it opens its doors to the public. In partnership with Blue Safari, the resort offers a range of water sports, fly fishing, and snorkeling. It also has an array of  curated offerings for  families and children.


 
Waldorf Astoria Platte Island, a truly exclusive luxury experience, will offer a collection of 50 seafront villas, all equipped with private pools. Guests will have access to six restaurants and bars, a spa, kids’ and teens club, outdoor observatory, tennis as well as  padel courts and a marine conservation discovery center – all within the sanctuary of Platte Island. Moreover, the island lies just over 130 km south of Mahé and is renowned as a nature lover’s paradise, covered with palm forest and surrounded by a coral reef and lagoon.

A small airstrip allows for access to the island from the main airport of Mahé. In an effort to create and use renewable energy as part of the resort’s operation, many buildings throughout the grounds are equipped with solar-paneled roofing.
