ATPSA Joins Forces with Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit

The Africa Tourism Private Sector Alliance (ATPSA) will collaborate with partners to co-host the 7th Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit, a key event focused on empowering young innovators in tourism.

Set to unfold in Midrand, Johannesburg, from 24 to 27 June 2025, this Summit, supported by South African Tourism, aims to empower the next generation of leaders in tourism.

ATPSA now joins the Summit’s distinguished partners such as UN Tourism, BDO, the Africa Tourism Innovation Hub, Millat Group, Millvest Advisory, Fortunatus (UAE), SNDBX (Kenya), SABC, and various African media houses, all united in a shared vision for a brighter future in African tourism.

The Africa Tourism Private Sector Alliance (ATPSA) is a leading platform for youth empowerment and innovation in the tourism sector. This partnership underscores ATPSA’s strong commitment to advancing youth leadership, entrepreneurial development, and inclusive growth across Africa’s tourism value chain.

“Partnering with AYTIS is a meaningful step toward shaping a more inclusive and innovative future for tourism in Africa. The Alliance’s role will enable and amplify the voice of the private sector, as well as support the development of youthful tourism leaders.” Says Suzan M. Ongalo, ATPSA Chairperson.

The Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit is a gathering of young change-makers, ministries of tourism, ICT, hospitality, policymakers, venture capitalists, international buyers and investors to engage in discussions that will contribute to the growth of tourism in the African continent through:

• B2B networking and collaboration with key stakeholders, buyers, and youth entrepreneurs,
• Exhibition to showcase products, services, and innovations,
• Increased visibility & Thought Leadership,
• Entrepreneurship Masterclass and Career guidance,

Members will also benefit from increased exposure through panel participation, speaking opportunities, and media coverage. The summit will offer tailored opportunities for ATPSA members to connect with youth-led enterprises, investors, and development partners.

The thematic areas of the Summit will include but not limited:

1. Ministerial and Policy-makers Dialogue Community Engagement and Inclusive Tourism
2. Copyright, trademarks, and patents: Critical financial assets for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Protection for tourism, creatives and cultural entrepreneurs.
3. Capital Raising: Understand the compelling considerations for successful capital raising for startups, accelerators and entrepreneurs.
4. The Dawn of AI Revolution: Turning to AI for tourism, travel and hospitality business growth and profitability.
