Discover Airlines is adding another highlight to its route network: Starting in winter 2025, the quality leisure airline will fly twice a week non-stop from Frankfurt to the Seychelles for the first time. The inaugural flight will take off on October 26, 2025. With this addition, Discover Airlines is significantly expanding the small number of direct connections from Germany to the popular tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean.

With 115 islands, the archipelago is known for its white beaches, turquoise lagoons and spectacular granite cliffs. Travelers can expect to find an abundance of flora and fauna, as well as some of the best diving and snorkeling spots in the world.

Seychelles and Mauritius: Two dream destinations in the Indian Ocean
The flights to the Seychelles depart from Frankfurt on Tuesdays and Sundays at 9.55 pm and arrive at the Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) at 10.45 am the next morning after a flight time of around ten hours. The return flights are also scheduled as night flights, so that travelers can make the most of their time in paradise.

The new connection is planned with an onward flight from the Seychelles to neighboring Mauritius. The optimized route will result in more convenient arrival and departure times for travellers to Mauritius. The arrival in Mauritius will change from very early morning to midday and the return flight will be changed from a day to a night flight, allowing travelers to enjoy their stay even longer. Discover Airlines is also adding an additional direct flight between Frankfurt and Mauritius next winter to offer travelers maximum flexibility.

With the Seychelles, Discover Airlines is not only further expanding its range of dream destinations in the Indian Ocean, but is also adding a destination to the Lufthansa Group’s portfolio that was previously only served by its sister airline Edelweiss from Zurich.

Flights to the Seychelles can be booked from mid-December at discover-airlines.com, lufthansa.com as well as with all German tour operators and travel agencies.
